What excites me about this whole process is that it exists, :) and that it is becoming continually more grounded in its evolution of more concrete strategies to move an agenda for peace forward. I do agree that congress is looking for a better form…

I do not know to whom the preceding reply was directed. But, if there is ANY "pre-existing agenda" involved here, then there should be cause for self-examination by the responder as to whether the reply is representative of a genuine peacebuilding m…

President Obama is truly a man of Peace; a President who strives for the betterment of mankind. Peace plays a big role in that ambition. In fact Peace is everything! Peace on earth, Heaven on Earth. I believe that will be so in our time. Keep our fo…

First of, all noting that violence is everywhere and kids are affected by it, is stating the obvious. I guess having statistics next to the ideas is useful.... My latest thought on this general topic of the pervasiveness of violence is that those o…

Dear Megan, Nice web site about Gandhi. Thank you for pointing it out to me.

Thanks for pointing this out. I didn't read carefully enough and made an assumption off the fact that Gandhi was considered after his death in 1948. For anyone interested, on the Nobel Prize website, if you search for Gandhi, you'll be led to an art…

Hi Matthew,
I finally just had the opportunity to review the current draft of the Strategic Plan. I am delighted -- I have seen the distinction between structural and programmatic change for a while and am glad to see it so artfully embraced.

I was traveling and missed the calls but hope to be involved moving forward.
I lead the team of volunteers that documented the peace making structures and activities (as of 2008) in the Dept of State and US AID. I am particularly interested in the Advisory Councils and in building coalitions with peace-building practitioners.
